In this video we will introduce the concepts for Windows Azure, and discuss cloud computing. We will discuss and demonstrate how you can get off the ground using the Windows Azure platform, and discuss the various tooling involved and needed to leverage Microsoft’s cloud computing platform.  

In this video we will build our first application with Windows Azure. We will demonstrate creating a Web Role, developing and debugging the application against the dev fabric, and then deploying our application to the cloud.  

In this video we will talk about and demonstrate using Windows Azure worker roles. Worker roles are used for background processing and task scenarios, and often are used to support web roles which we looked at in the previous video. Using worker roles is straightforward, and we will point out a few of the important methods used to implement the processing. We will also discuss the VM role and talk briefly about Windows Azure Connect, which can be used to connect your on premise VMs to your hosted roles in Windows Azure.  

In this video we will discuss and demonstrate the various options available for Windows Azure storage. BLOBs, Queues, and Tables all provide various ways to use and leverage cloud based storage. We will demonstrate creating the storage account and show you some useful sample code provided on codeplex.com for deep diving on Windows Azure storage concepts.  

In this video we will demonstrate SQL Azure which is comparable with some differences to SQL Server. We will demonstrate creating and using SQL Azure databases and discuss some of the nuances involved with using SQL Azure as a storage platform.
