In this video we will introduce the concepts for Visual Studio LightSwitch 2011. We will discuss the platform and also discuss the goals of the video series. This video will setup the rest of the series and lay the groundwork for understanding LightSwitch 2011.  

In this video we will begin building an eCommerce style application. We will demonstrate creating data from scratch and setting functional screens up around that data quickly and easily. We literally write one line of code in this video, but quickly demonstrate setting up a good start on our eCommerce application.  

In this video we will talk about LightSwitch 2011 queries and extensions, and then demonstrate some iterative development as we evolve the application we started in the previous video to support an ordering screen.  

In this video we will demonstrate LightSwitch2011 validation. LightSwitch 2011 was developed with validation in mind, and many common validation scenarios are simply handled out of the box with little or no coding involved. We will demonstrate an example of these basic scenarios as well as implementing custom validation.  

In this video we will demonstrate LightSwitch 2011 deployment. One of the great benefits of LightSwitch 2011 is the flexible deployment options. We will demonstrate some pros and cons of various deployment models and demonstrate deploying our application to the desktop and the cloud.
