ASP.NET MVC4 #1 - Getting Started with MVC4 and MVC4 Project Templates

In this video we will introduce installing the ASP.NET MVC 4 framework into Visual Studio 11. We will discuss and demonstrate the enhancements to the project templates, including the very important new feature “adaptive rendering”, which allows for your MVC4 applications to look great in full browsers or mobile devices.

ASP.NET MVC4 #2 - Display Modes

In this video we will introduce a new feature in ASP.NET MVC 4 called “Display Modes”, which allows you to render different views based on the device or browser. ASP.NET MVC 4 comes with a mobile display mode, and we will demonstrate adding a custom display mode. We will also discuss briefly how to upgrade MVC 3 projects to MVC 4 using Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview IDE.

ASP.NET MVC4 #3 - Mobile Templates, JQuery Mobile via NuGet

In this video we will introduce some of the mobile features of ASP.NET MVC 4. ASP.NET MVC 4 was developed with mobile form factors in mind. We will demonstrate the mobile project template, and also talk about jQuery mobile which is built for touch web UI experiences. We will also demonstrate using NuGet in Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview to help manage your libraries and tools.

ASP.NET MVC4 #4 - MVC Recipes

In this video we will introduce a nice feature of ASP.NET MVC 4 called Recipes using Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview and NuGet. Recipes allow for the automation of programming tasks. You can manage and deliver Recipes via NuGet. We will demonstrate the basics of a recipe, packing it with NuGet, and using an existing Recipe. This is an area that may evolve as Microsoft continues to invest with Recipes.
